La Tuque Hydroelectric Generating Station

As part of the expansion of the upper and lower turbine pits at the La Tuque Hydroelectric Generating Station, MEI Sciage et Forage was commissioned to carry out major deconstruction work, including the dismantling of the spiral case.

To accelerate operations while maintaining maximum precision, two wire saws were operated simultaneously. Concrete structures were cut and removed in blocks, after which specialized crews performed line drilling at the base of the sections designated for removal.
