The project mandate
As part of a planned shutdown at Irving Paper in Saint John, MEI Sciage et Forage was commissioned to cut furnace structures and concrete foundations using wire saws. The work was carried out within a tight timeframe to meet the facility’s restart schedule.
In total, more than 200 tons of concrete were removed over a continuous 68-hour period, demonstrating the team’s ability to deliver sustained performance in a demanding industrial environment.
